Lockett Up vs. All I Do is Win, Win, Win:
In the only matchup pinning two former champions against one another, Tom attempts to continue his dominance from last year as the reigning champion. Its a game of Running Backs against Wide Receivers as Tom appears poised to be starting all three of his potential top 10 keepers at wide out.
Tom -4.5
Totes boating w/ the bros vs. I Love You Touchdown Tommy:
In a matchup where one team has the benefit of not having to make the wrong choice at QB because of an NFL suspension, two teams that have not seen the playoffs in awhile try to get off on the right foot with two playoff caliber teams. While Ryan has the edge at Running Back despite Tom having Todd Gurley, you have to wonder how Edelman and Ertz will do with their inexperienced signal callers.
Tom -8
Championship Run vs. Frail Stars:
A game that features two teams that were unable to get above .500 last year, Griffin finds himself in the early lead. The switching around of Sterling Shepard in and out of the lineup has owners reminiscing of Griffin's use of a rookie Santana Moss in the Kribs Family Fantasy Football League. This matchup might be decided by a player on neither team, as Griffin starts two players that could either greatly benefit or be hindered by the play of rookie Dak Prescott.
Pat -5.5
Let Bylaws be Bylaws vs. No Halfway Cooks:
The commissioner goes to Washington... sort of. While Chris saw Greg Olsen get him off to a decent start despite not grabbing a touchdown, he still finds himself very much in the hole as CJ Anderson went off for Mat. He will look to build on that lead with his own strong trio of wide outs. Anyone else find it interesting that the commissioner has kept L. Bell in spite of all his suspensions...
Mat -8
Suck my Peterson, Cradle my Rawls vs. Gordon's Red-Eye Express:
Then there is this matchup. One that sees a team without Gronkowski and going with a waiver wire pickup, able to confidently play only one of their keepers, and is starting Torrey Smith who saw only one target all preseason for the lowly 49ers (sorry Mat and Tom). If there is one team Yann did not want to face with those unfortunate absences, I'd probably guess it'd be JJ. Oh well Yann, best of luck anyhow.
JJ -28
Rough opening Thursday, I was rooting for the Panthers (again) and Gano misses the 50 yarder to win, causing a six point swing in an instant (5 point kick, and negative 1 for missing). Plus the K. Benjamin is only playing part-time schtick turns out to be false. If I am in it at all I bet I still lose by those margins (Gano miss and Benjamin would have been in flex)
